We believe music can be a catalyst for social change.
Our Fanzine promotes the best in new and independent music with profits directly benefiting local charities around the world.
To discover the best unsigned or indie label artists
To give them a platform to share and discuss their music
To curate a physical music fanzine and compilation albums to share our discoveries
To dedicate each issue of our Fanzine to a different charitable organisation who receive a share of our profits
Choose My Music Records was created in 2012 with a single project in mind. To discover, interview and release music from unsigned or indie label artists from all 50 US States.
Between 2012-2014, Choose My Music shared their discoveries to eager music listeners from around the world through their State of Music album series, the profits from which were donated to two homeless charitable organisations; Camden Calling in the UK and Street Soccer USA in the United States of America.
Following the conclusion of this project, Choose My Music Records went on to release 12 further albums from artists such as Gregory Pepper, Jessy Bell Smith, Drew Danburry, DEERPEOPLE and many others, as well as continuing to seek out undiscovered bands through their New Music for Mondays compilation series.
During this period Choose My Music Records were featured on radio stations all over the world, including both Amazing Radio and BBC 6 Music, becoming a regular contributor to Lauren Laverne's MPFree segment. Choose My Music also had music played on Cerys Matthews popular Sunday show as well as Tom Robinson's Now Playing on BBC 6 Music.
In 2015, Choose My Music went on indefinite hiatus, not returning until 2018 with the launch of a new music fanzine.
